Education Certificate Examination (BECE) last week gave birth to a baby
boy and girl at different centres in two different districts that share a

I nodded, too tired to let any curious driver drag me into a conversation.
He got the message and left me alone the entire drive from Canary Wharf to the London Marriot Hotel, in Grosvenor Square.
Then, as I got down to get my suitcase from the trunk, he gave me a knowing look, smiled, and said ‘are you the musician?’
‘Of course not’, I said to him, smiling this time. ‘The musician is in Canary Wharf, his name is D’banj’.
Silence. Confused look.
‘D’banj?’
Yes, D’banj. He’s big in Africa. You know ‘Oliver Twist?’
Silence again, then as his final ‘no’ came, I said ‘Google him.’

Ghana's Biometric Voters Registration (BVR) Method,Authentic Or Not
Archibald Laryea was picked up by the Odorkor Police in Accra at the Naroda polling station at Sakaman in the Ablekuma North Constituency in Accra Tuesday, when he attempted to register for the 16th time.
According to the narrations given by the district police commander, DSP Jordan Quaye,to graphic.com.gh.He said the incidence occurred at 10:30 in the morning and that the registration officer at Naroda polling station, Mr Asare Baffour, called the police that they had in their custody a man who had attempted to do double registration with different names.
According to Mr Asare Baffour, the finger print scanner detected that Mr Laryea had registered on April 8, 2012 at Tantra with the name Nii Laryea.
DSP Quaye explained that upon their arrival at the polling station, Mr Laryea tried to flee and in an attempt bit the thumb of one of the corporal by name Mr William Afedo.
He said they took him to his residence at Dansoman where they discovered that he had managed to acquire 15 BVR cards using different names.
DSP Quaye said, they also found 13 old registration cards and some toy revolvers under his bed.
DSP Quaye said the suspect would be arraigned before court at the appropriate time.
Advising all eligible voters, he warned them to desist from the act since the law would prosecute offenders.
DSP Quaye also urged personnel of the Electoral Commission, especially the electoral officers at the various polling centres, to be vigilant to ensure that multiple registration was eliminated and offenders reported.
The names Mr Laryea used in his registration were: Gufhid Quist Jox Provencal, Qusitjox Danfo Kwetey, Epicurus Ahenu Tarlo, Justice Fred Provencal, Philip Obletey Tackie, Victus Wilfred Juqwyjbusu and Anthony Akote.
The rest are Victor Wilfred Abety Moux, Victor Gloveuched, Victor Wilfred Nampty, Provencal Kwetey Buzim, Laryea Archibald, Emmanuel Nii Laryea, Job Maxwell Auashong. He used different ages on all his registration cards.

Mrs. Mercy Esho,now a widow had of a baby few days ago with her husband Babatunde Esho, the leader of an armed robbery gang,who died in an open fire with the police last Saturday, in Ilesa.The widow has been arrested by the police for being an accomplice in her husband's crime but she claimed that she did not know that her husband was an armed robber.
On Thursday, the Commissioner of Police, Osun State Command, Mrs. Kalafite Adeyemi, said various items were recovered at Esho’s residence.
Mrs. Adeyemi said detectives from the command busted the gang during the christening of Esho’s baby, adding that the gang’s leader opened fire on detectives before he was gunned down.
The Commissioner of police said, “Several items were recovered from his wife including three locally-made pistols, 17 live cartridges; three laptops; two LCD televisions; four wristwatches; a brand-new photocopier; 13 mobile phones; and one iPad.The LCD televisions and iPad tablet have been identified by their owners from Ijebu-Jesa and Esa-Oke respectively.”
Mrs. Esho said “May I not do well in life if I know that he was an armed robber. He used to maltreat me and starve me even when I was pregnant.It was his parents who urged me to marry him. He slept with me only once and I got pregnant. We were having the naming ceremony when police swooped on the party.”Maintaining she was innocent.

Famous TV Personality-Dick Clark Dies At 82
The television personality Dick Clark died of a heart attack on Wednesday morning in Los Angeles,according to his spokesman.Clark who was 82 was nicknamed "America's oldest teenager" and maintained his youthful looks into his 70s.He hosted long-running television shows such as "American Bandstand," the game show "Pyramid" and "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve".Clark is survived by his wife, Kari, and his three children.

Kennedy Agyapong Has Been officially charged For treason
As confirmed by the acting Director of Public Affairs DSP Cephas Arthur,the Assin North MP Kennedy Agyapong has officially been charged with treason and will be arraigned before court, Wednesday to open his defense.
Agyapong was arrested Monday, after declaring war in reaction to attacks on New Patriotic Party supporters during the biometric registration exercise by the police,who said they were investigating a possible charge of treason but needed to conduct further investigations.
Kennedy Agyapong is likely to face the ultimate penalty of death if found guilty but DSP Arthur will not say whether the prosecution will be asking for the the ultimate penalty.
